Lighting is abosolutely integral to creating the right mood and feel for a room. The days of the single pendant light are definitely over although we still frustratingly see it specified on many new build homes!

Using a multitude of different lighting types and controls you can transform the feel of a space instantly. Perhaps switching from the bright task lighting in the kitchen while preparing a meal to a warmer softer light for dining and entertaining. Or even automating the whole process so when your child wakes in the night soft lights come on automatically to aid them walking to the bathroom without waking the whole house.
